Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, applesauce, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Grease a donut pan lightly and spoon the batter into each mold, filling about 3/4 full.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
