Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, applesauce, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Grease a donut pan lightly and spoon the batter into each mold, filling about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container.
