Servings 12

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on box: eggs, oil, water
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare chocolate cake batter according to package instructions. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle peanut butter chips, chopped Reese’s, and chocolate chips over the cake batter.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add melted butter, peanut butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter. Do not spread—it will create swirls while baking.
  • Bake 40–45 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey (like an earthquake crackled effect).
  • Cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm.
