While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften, about 4-5 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with chopped basil.
If the mixture is too dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring everything together.
Serve the pasta in bowls, topping each with burrata cheese, and drizzle with extra olive oil.
Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and additional basil if desired before serving.
