- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Soak the dried cherries in bourbon for 1-2 hours.
In a mixing bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped nuts, and cocoa powder.
Add the soaked cherries along with any remaining bourbon to the dry mixture.
Stir in the powdered sugar until well-combined.
Chill the mixture for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and roll them in additional powdered sugar or cocoa powder.
Place the rolled balls on a baking sheet and chill for another hour to firm up.
