  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Method
 

  1. Make the pie crust
  2. Chill the pie crust
  3. Prepare the apple filling
  4. Preheat the oven
  5. Roll out the crust
  6. Fill the crust
  7. Bake the pie
  8. Make the custard
  9. Thicken the custard
  10. Add vanilla to the custard
