Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage breakfast or Italian
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 slices of bread cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart.
  • Drain excess grease, if necessary, and transfer the browned sausage to a large bowl.
  • In the same bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Add the bread cubes into the egg mixture, mixing gently to combine.
  • Stir in the shredded cheese and browned sausage, mixing until everything is well combined.
  • Pour the entire mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  • Allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
