Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed nuts almonds, walnuts, pecans
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 70% cocoa or higher
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang.
  • In a food processor, combine mixed nuts and dates until finely chopped and well mixed.
  • Add honey (or maple syrup), dark chocolate chips, and sea salt to the nut mixture in the food processor.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and press it down firmly with your hands or a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until slightly firm, but still soft to the touch.
  • Once cooled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment overhang and slice into squares or rectangles.
