Delicious Sweet Caramelized Beef with Rice Recipe

Tender beef caramelized to a rich sweetness, served over fluffy rice, makes this dish a satisfying centerpiece for cozy dinners and special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 3 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  • Prepare the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and half of the minced garlic.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef to the hot skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  • Stir the beef to cook all sides evenly, then add in the remaining garlic, stirring for another minute until fragrant.
  • Continue cooking until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in chopped green onions, saving some for garnish.
  • Serve the sweet caramelized beef over warmed rice, garnished with remaining green onions.
