Delicious Sweet Holidays Cupcakes for Festive Cheer

Sweet Holidays cupcakes made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup holiday-themed sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cupcake tin with liners.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  7. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  8. Fill the cupcake liners about ⅔ full with the batter.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  11. Once completely cooled, frost with your favorite festive frosting and add sprinkles.
