Deliciously Chewy Touchdown Brownies for Game Day

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the sugar.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Optionally, fold in chocolate chips for added richness.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing.
