Delightful Creme Brûlée Cookies for Your Next Bake

With a luscious vanilla flavor, crispy edges, and a creamy center, these Creme Brûlée Cookies are an elegant delight for any occasion or celebration.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are light golden brown.
  8. Remove cookies from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar on top of each cookie and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until golden brown.
  10. Allow the caramelized sugar to cool and harden before serving.
