Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the dough by combining the warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and eggs, then add the yeast mixture and melted butter.
  • Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the filling by mixing together the softened cream cheese, chopped strawberries, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  • Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small edge clean.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log, then slice it into equal pieces.
  • Place the sliced rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while the rolls are rising.
  • Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with heavy cream until smooth, then drizzle it on warm rolls.
