Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Prepare the dough by combining the warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and eggs, then add the yeast mixture and melted butter.
  3. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing together the softened cream cheese, chopped strawberries, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small edge clean.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log, then slice it into equal pieces.
  9. Place the sliced rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while the rolls are rising.
  11. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with heavy cream until smooth, then drizzle it on warm rolls.
