Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans
  • 1 cup dried fruit cranberries, raisins, or apricots

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture. Beat until fully combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and dried fruit until evenly distributed.
  • Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
