Fluffy Air Fryer Greek Yogurt Bagels Recipe

Fluffy Air Fryer Greek Yogurt Bagels Recipe made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping, optional

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and optional garlic and onion powders. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Flour your work surface lightly. Transfer the dough to the surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 8-10 inches long. Form a circle with each rope, pressing the ends together to seal.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of the bagels with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
  6. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook in batches depending on your air fryer size.
  7. Air fry the bagels for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove the bagels from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
