Fresh and Flavorful Sushi Wonton Cones

Ingredients
  

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup avocado sliced
  • 1 cup cucumber julienned
  • 1 cup sushi-grade fish e.g., salmon, tuna, diced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise preferably spicy or wasabi-infused
  • Soy sauce for serving

Method
 

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions.
  2. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Once rice is cooked, gently fold in the vinegar mixture.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and shape wonton wrappers into cones.
  5. Bake the wonton cones for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Prepare the fillings by slicing the avocado and cucumber, and dicing the fish.
  7. Mix mayonnaise with any desired spicy elements.
  8. Fill the baked cones with rice, followed by layers of avocado, cucumber, and fish.
  9. Drizzle with spicy mayonnaise and serve with soy sauce.
