Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dessert Pizza made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for cream cheese layer
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips for topping
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Spread the cookie dough mixture evenly onto a greased 12-inch pizza pan, pressing it down to form a crust.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The center may look slightly underbaked; this is fine as it will continue to cook as it cools.
  • While the cookie crust is baking, prepare the cream cheese layer by beating together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Once the cookie crust has cooled completely, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
  • Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the cream cheese layer, pressing them slightly into the mixture.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup generously over the top before slicing and serving.
