Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream nuts, cherries

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a 9-inch springform pan by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly before adding the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and cocoa powder until fully combined.
  • Add the flour and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • While brownies cool, prepare the cheesecake layer. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar and sour cream, mixing until well incorporated.
  • Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
  • Return the cheesecake to the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for an hour before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, drizzle with hot fudge sauce and add your favorite sundae toppings, like whipped cream, nuts, and cherries.
