This Healthy Broccoli Pasta combines tender greens with al dente noodles and a zesty garlic sauce, creating a refreshing dish ideal for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz whole wheat pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sauté for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Stir in the broccoli florets, cooking for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with the broccoli mixture in the skillet.
  6. Add reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
