Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 bunch of asparagus trimmed
  • 6 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and place the seasoned chicken thighs skin-side down into the garlic butter.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the asparagus by trimming the ends and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Add the asparagus to the skillet after the chicken has baked for 25 minutes.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
