Meanwhile, prepare the asparagus by trimming the ends and seasoning with salt and pepper.
Add the asparagus to the skillet after the chicken has baked for 25 minutes.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
