- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- Add sliced onions on top.
- Mix garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread the spice mix evenly over the chicken and onions.
- Pour BBQ sauce over the chicken and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Check for doneness and shred the chicken.
- Stir the shredded chicken back into the sauce before serving.
